Going out for dinner. Always a great idea. And Brunssum has plenty of nice spots to suit every taste. And don’t forget that parking in Brunssum is always free. First box ticked, let’s go!

5 top suggestions for eating out in Brunssum

After our delicious breakfast/lunch tips in Brunssum our favourite dinner hotspots were next in line. Our colleague Summer went out to explore and this is what she came up with.

1. Proeflokaal Gorissen

Proeflokaal Gorissen is and will always be one of our favourite dinner hotspots. On Monday and Wednesday to Sunday you can enjoy a delicious 3-course meal here, which is also very affordable in the bargain. What else do you need? For €17.95 you can choose a starter, main course and dessert. Yummie, you can wake us up for the French onion soup and the pasta Tartufo. But a tasty chicken burger or the Caprese salad always go down well, too! Be quick to check out the menu for all the tasty choices. And last but not least, dessert. Life is simply too short to skip dessert . A delicious crème brûlée, coupe caramel, a Cheesecake New York style or a flavourful cheese platter. Is your mouth watering yet?

2. Best Pizza

If you’re a fan of delicious Italian pizza, then Best Pizza is the place to be. Go for the pizza prosciutto, pizza tonno or pizza taco. Plenty of choice! There is a nice area inside to sit down, but you can also eat outside. The restaurant’s terrace is ideal for a perfect summer evening with your favourite pizza and a drink. For dessert you can enjoy homemade Tiramisu or tasty Tartufo. That is definitely an offer you can’t refuse!

3. Brikke Oave

The Brikke Oave is a hotspot to enjoy delicious food plus a great view of the Lindeplein and the luscious Vijverpark. The menu has a lot to offer, like a tasty Poké bowl (or Veggie bowl if you prefer), different types of burgers or old-time favourites like juicy spareribs or chicken saté. We also get excited when we look at the dessert menu here! Take your pick from homemade brownies, Brussels waffles, apple-pie or various ice-cream coupes. Enjoy!

4. Canadian Corner

The Canadian Corner is, of course, a must in this list (you definitely imagine yourself to be in Canada in these cosy, warm surroundings). Canadian Corner is well-known for its pizza Taco topped with cocktail dressing. Pure joy! The menu also boasts a vegetarian pizza Taco, great! Meat lovers will find it hard to choose between juicy spareribs, tender steaks and delicious schnitzels! And to top it all off, the dessert menu is quite something with brownies, fried ice-cream and chocolate truffles. What’s it gonna be?

5. Grieks restaurant Byzantium

Greek restaurant Byzantium on Lindeplein is a must go! Here, you can enjoy a great variety of tasty authentic ánd contemporary Greek dishes. Have a seat outside at one of the many table and order from the menu whatever takes your fancy. From (chicken) gyros, souvlaki and grilled scampi to moussaka. And don’t forget to check out the dessert menu! Enjoy!
